EVA is a policy and pro-market think-tank financed by the Finnish business community. EVA is a discussion forum and networking arena for decision-makers both in business and society. EVA works in close co-operation with the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy ETLA  - the two organizations share the same Board and Managing Director.

EVA in action

EVAs task is to identify and evaluate trends that are important for Finnish companies and the society as a whole. Violent and rapid international phenomena impose serious demands on society and business activity. EVA aims to provide current information on prevailing trends and to bring fresh ideas to public debate.

EVA's means to influence and create discussion are articles, reports, policy papers, debates in the form of EVA FORUMs, seminars, guest visits and EVA Fellows network which consists of EVA Fellows, Junior Fellows and the international counterpart organisations. In addition, EVA's website continues to be an important form of communication about the previous and upcoming activities and publications.

EVA REPORTS - EVA conducts or contracts out research on sociel issues and publishes the results and analyses in the form of reports. EVA publishes every year 4-8 EVA Reports. The latest
reports have tackled issues such as the idea of Finnish foreign policy, corporations' views of the climate change and as well as how to get women to the top ladders of the business world. EVA's annual Value and Attitude survey, published since 1984, has been one of the most cited publications in the country.

EVA FORUM is a discussion arena that aims to promote the development of a bolder and more dynamic debating culture in Finland. EVA FORUMs are a combination of intelligence and entertainment. EVA FORUMs tackle current topics and are organised 2-4 times a year.

The panellists, of both Finnish and foreign origin, are top experts of their fields. The audience
consists of representatives of all ages and of different constituents of the society. The EVA FORUMs have provided a discussion arena, for example, for the Presidential and Prime Minister candidates. Current topics that have been raised are how to get women to the top ladders of the business world; trade and development in the case of India and what makes a top university.

EVA seminars - EVA organises also seminars as well as briefer discussions, often in the form of morning meetings. The EVA Day and the EVA Symposium are examples of one day seminars.

EVA Fellows Network - The EVA Fellows Network consists of Fellows and Junior Fellows. EVA has a broad and dynamic international network, especially with many European counterparts.

EVA Web Pages - One of the most important forms of communication for EVA is its own website. In addition to topical issues and publications, the website contains information about the EVA's previous reports and activity during the 21st century. The EVA website displays articles written by different columnists such as decision makers and various experts. The website provides everyone a chance to give feedback to the EVA's office.
